People often struggle to come up with the perfect message to place inside a candle. In reality, it’s very simple. First, you need to choose the type of candle, and depending on the number of characters allowed for that specific candle, you can start thinking about the message.

Next, think about the occasion for which the candle is being given. For example, if you’re using the candle to say “Happy Birthday,” you can simply write “Happy Birthday.” For a longer message, you can begin in the card (which comes with each large candle). For example, if you’re congratulating your mom, you could write in the card: “Dear Mom, Happy Birthday! I wish you health, happiness, and all the best. I want you to know that I really…” And in the candle: “I love you.” If you’re congratulating a friend, you could use an inside joke. For example, the message inside the candle could be: “Cosmic klutz.”

To surprise Dad, you can pair the candle with a card: “Dear Dad, thank you for being here, I appreciate everything you do. I wish you health, strength, and don’t forget, you are…” And in the candle: “Super Dad.” You can also skip the card and simply write in the candle: “My dad is a hero,” “Super Dad,” “I love you, Dad,” or “Best Dad.”

If you’re giving the candle to your significant other for any occasion, you can hide an inside joke in the candle. For example, the card could say: “Darling, thank you for always being by my side and supporting me in any situation. You will always be my…” And in the candle: “my little donut.” You could also write in the candle: “I love you,” “You’re amazing,” “Keep smiling,” or “Always by your side.”
